NYS DCI Members Honored with Tour Grant

ROME, N.Y. - Since 1992, Drums Along The Mohawk has supported young musicians as they make their dreams come true of marching in Drum Corps International (DCI) with the Drums Along The Mohawk Tour Award. The Tour Award is a grant sponsored by the Friends of Music for Kids, Inc. and is given to New York State students who are currently marching in a DCI corps to help pay for their corps' tuition and membership fees.

The 40th annual Drums Along The Mohawk will take place at Rome Free Academy Stadium on Turin Street on THURSDAY, AUGUST 2, at 7:00 p.m where the winners of the Tour Award will be honored. Tickets for the 40th Drums Along The Mohawk are available by calling 315-339-6484, or by visiting www.drumsalongthemohawk.com. Additional outlets include the Rome Area Chamber of Commerce, Rome and Big Apple Music, New Hartford. The ticket box office at Rome Free Academy Stadium will be open the week leading up to the show from 5:30-8:30 p.m. each night, all day on show day.
